Consistency
Consistency does not mean doing the same exact thing every day. It means showing up everyday. Making incremental progress towards something. Everyday does not have the same time, energy or resource to get stuff done. Sometimes you can only do little bit of something to move forward. But something is better than nothing.
You can always take more than nothing. – Alice in Wonderland (1951)
Discipline
Discipline is doing things when you don’t want to. It’s showing up, because you said you would. It’s not taking better offers after you already accepted an offer. It’s doing the hard thing. Discipline is what makes consistency show up in your life. If you are not consistent, you likely lack discipline.
Progressive Improvement
Once you have a foundation of discipline and consistency, the fun can happen. But a foundation must be laid. It is with consistency and experience that you are able to take risks and know your limits. You are able to try harder things and think outside the box and adapt at faster rates.
